In October 2014, Health Canada updated the Canadian Drinking Water Quality Guidelines including revised guidelines for ethylbenzene and xylenes. In accordance with these changes, this document includes amendments to the Tier I and II screening level tables in Appendix 3 and 4. In September 2015, further editorial changes were made to the screening level table footnotes and to the groundwater screening level for industrial land use. The values which have been changed are highlighted in blue.
Site professionals are asked to refer to the Technical Bulletin Respecting Updates to the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality for information on how to update the Chem/Tox database (for ethylbenzene and xylenes) in the Atlantic RBCA Tool Kit.
